Bookkeeping services for Utah businesses

Running a Utah small business means keeping up with customers, staff and the next decision. Cardinal helps keep your books current year-round, with a close process built around how your business actually operates.

For owners who want a clear financial picture

Whether you run a service business, a professional practice or a growing operation with more than one entity, we start with your transaction volume, accounts and reporting needs—not your ZIP code.

An ongoing relationship

Discuss changes as they happen: a new loan, an additional entity, a payroll change or a file that has fallen behind. A consistent close makes those conversations more useful than waiting until tax season.

Statewide, without the commute

We serve businesses throughout Utah remotely where appropriate, including Utah County, Salt Lake County, Davis County and Weber County. You do not need to be near an office, and these service areas do not imply local office locations.

A close you can build on

We confirm the exact accounts, deliverables and responsibilities before work begins. Your bookkeeping scope may include:

Reconciled accounts
Tie bank and credit-card activity to statements so missing transactions and differences can be addressed.
Consistent categorization
Maintain a chart of accounts that separates meaningful business activity and supports year-to-year comparisons.
Balance-sheet review
Review balances such as loans, payroll liabilities and fixed assets rather than focusing only on the profit-and-loss statement.
Useful financial statements
Deliver a profit-and-loss statement and balance sheet on your agreed monthly or quarterly cadence.
Payroll and loan tie-outs
Reconcile provider reports and loan schedules where included in your approved service scope.
Catch-up and cleanup
Review the condition of an existing file and agree on a separate project scope before bringing overdue books current.

Choose a cadence that fits your decisions

Monthly bookkeeping

Starting at $395/month for Core Monthly; Growth Monthly has target pricing of $595/month. Monthly closes suit owners who need a regular view of performance and more frequent coordination.

Quarterly bookkeeping

Starting at $495/quarter for simple, lower-volume businesses. Quarterly plans require Cardinal to prepare the associated business tax return. We confirm eligibility and whether a monthly cadence is a better likely fit.

Standalone cleanup starts at $1,000, with the final project quote based on file review. Each entity is scoped separately. Agreed recurring scope supports predictable pricing; expanded work is reviewed before it is added.

Final pricing is confirmed after we review your bookkeeping needs, transaction volume, account complexity, entity structure, and service scope.

Tax-ready books support CPA-led tax coordination, not a promise of a particular tax result. Business return preparation is confirmed separately with licensed CPA professionals.

Utah bookkeeping questions

Do you work statewide?

Yes. Cardinal serves owner-operated businesses throughout Utah, including Utah County, Salt Lake County, Davis County and Weber County. These are service areas, not office locations.

Is service remote?

Bookkeeping and consultations can be coordinated virtually. We agree on a secure way to exchange records after the consultation; do not upload financial documents through the public intake.

Can Cardinal prepare the business tax return?

Business tax preparation can be scoped alongside bookkeeping. CPA-led tax work is performed by appropriately licensed CPA professionals; bookkeeping staff are not represented as CPAs. Quarterly bookkeeping requires Cardinal preparation of the associated business return.

Do I need to be near an office?

No. Your business can be anywhere in Utah. A virtual consultation lets us discuss your needs without an office visit.

Which accounting platforms do you support?

We work with QuickBooks Online, Xero and Zoho Books. Tell us which platform you use, including another platform if applicable, so we can confirm the scope and fit before accepting work.
